Emily Yue, 16, has been part of the OVC community for over 3 years. In that time, she’s racked up several contest wins and really grown into a more mature style of filmmaking. Now, she’s embarking on her biggest project to date: her first short film!

'Spring Break for the In-Betweeners' is described as “A coming of age short film that follows a boy and a girl who aren’t quite cool and aren’t quite not.” Emily is spending the first half of 2014 on the film, and hopes to have the 20-minute short completed by summer.

She is currently fundraising a modest sum ($500) through the IndieGoGo platform to help cover production costs. We hope other OVCers will check out the project, and consider supporting one of our own.
