Due April 9th, 2010 - "Co-op Teens Power Texas" is a statewide competition open to high school students residing with a parent or legal guardian in a household served by an electric cooperative. Participating students, either working alone or in a group, will create a one- to three-minute video providing information about a developing area of renewable energy.

The video may not reference the name of any specific electric co - operative. General references such as “my co-op” are permitted.

Prizes

The first-place winner will receive $1,500. If there is school sponsorship for the winning entry, the school will receive $1,000. The second-place video will receive $500. Four runners-up will each receive $250 for exemplary achievement in one of the four judging categories: Creativity, Educational Value, Youth Appeal, and Technical Quality.

Eligibility
The Co-op Teens Power Texas Video Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S. and its territories who are high school students at the time of entry. The applicant must reside with a parent or legal guardian in a home served by an electric cooperative in Texas.
