Create a video, two minutes or less, that discusses anything about nuclear weapons or answers the question “Why are nuclear weapons a bad idea?”
Anything goes for the video contest – animation, music video, documentary...
Nuclear weapons are a huge subject. Perhaps too big to be covered by a two minute video so you may want to focus on the part of the issue that interests you. For example, you could show what you stand to lose if nuclear weapons were used, what are nuclear weapons, public opinion on nuclear weapons.

Prizes
Cash prizes in Canadian dollars will be awarded for first and second prize in each category as follows:
18 yrs & under
1st Prize - $300
2nd Prize - $150
over 18 yrs
1st Prize - $300
2nd Prize - $150
* winners required to provide proof of age
In addition, the three contestants with the most promising videos will be offered scholarships worth 50% off tuition at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School (Galiano Island, Canada ).
Selected videos will be shown at a local cinema in Toronto.
Eligibility
Anyone can enter but videos will be judged, depending on the age of the film maker, in one of two categories:
* 18 yrs old and under
OR
* over 18 yrs old
