Due March 26th, 2010 -
The Lottery is a feature-length documentary that delves into the ferocious debate surrounding the education reform movement, tracking four families as they apply to the high-stakes, low-odds lottery for access to a better school and a better future. Interviews with politicians and educators explain not only the crisis in public education, but also why it is fixable. The film is a call to action to avert a catastrophe in the education of American children.
We are looking for short films (1.5 - 2 minutes) demonstrating the need for education reform. The winning film will be awarded $1,000 and a screening at our New York City premiere.
