Due July 14th, 2010 - The Trevor Project wants to hear your vision for making your local community, state, country, or the world a more supportive, safe and better place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning youth.

What are you currently doing (individually or collaboratively) or what do you think would be the best way that you can be the change and make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ youth everywhere?

No matter what work you are currently doing or wanting to do, you are making a difference by even just thinking about ways you can help. Change starts with having a passion, an idea, a dream or a vision that can take you from a thought to an action. Be the change and share your story so that others might also become inspired to be the change.

This can include, but is not limited to the following themes:

·   Work you are currently doing in your community to Be The Change and promote acceptance of LGBTQ youth on a local and/or national level

·   An idea you have to Be The Change and improve the lives of LGBTQ youth on a local or national level

·   What does it mean to you to Be The Change and how does it impact your vision for helping to create a safe and more accepting environment for LGBTQ youth everywhere?

·   How has your own experiences coming out as LGBTQ inspired you to Be The Change and become more involved with advocacy within the LGBTQ community and/or educating people around LGBTQ issues?

Eligibility
Participants must be a resident of the United States and between the ages of 13 and 30. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a parental consent form in order to be eligible.
