Due February 6th, 2012 - At the start of each new year, people often take stock of their lives and resolve to make improvements where they can. Here at OVC, we are always on the lookout for fun and awesome filmmaking gadgets to strengthen our community's talents. So while we can't help you lose those extra pounds or quit a bad habit, we can (hopefully!) inspire you to pick up your camera and exercise your creativity!

This month, we are going to award one lucky OVCer with a brand-new, super-cool Pico Flex Table Dolly. It's the most compact dolly system out there, and it can support your DLSR/point-and-shoot/camera phone. This versatile rig will make you the smoothest videomaker on the block!

If you're ready to get smooth moves, complete these 4 steps to be entered to win:
   1. Sign Up for an OVC user account (or sign into your account if you already have one!) and fill out your profile. Make sure to fill out your short bio, upload your picture and link out to your various social networks. We want to get to know you better!
   2. Add this contest to your Favorites with the 'Add to Favorites' button at the top of this page.
   3. Leave a comment down below telling us why you need a table dolly. You could describe a shot you're planning to get if you get your hands on one or tell us about an instance in the past where you wish you had a dolly.
   4. Give us your mailing address using the form below:

Prizes
One winner will be chosen at random and awarded a Pico Flex Table Dolly System (Link for more info). The whole kit contains:

Why wouldn't you want a dolly? I am so tired of all my shots with the simple motion being all shook up. Ii always results with endless hours of stablization... If only there was a solution... (16 days ago.)

As a little girl I always wanted a dolly to play with. Now that I'm older, I still want a dolly to play with. Although the "dolly" has changed, the dream of the little girl has not. This dolly may not be used to fill a spot at the tea party or as a wife to my ken doll, but it will provide smooth camera moves and appealing shots! Choose me OVC! (16 days ago.)

Hello,

I am Mitch, I am 17, and have been working on many film projects since my middle school days. I am now a senior in high school and am in charge of my school's Student Film Festival. For my previous films, I've shot everything hand-held and with tripods; I really haven't had a rig of my own to use. I've always wanted to get a dolly, but have not had the money to do so.

I am planning on filming a suspense movie this school year, and if I could pull off a few table dolly shots for this project I believe it would really sell the film.
I would use the dolly for shots consisting of:
Two detectives discussing cases at a diner table.
My main serial killer character standing above her strapped down victim (who is strapped to the table).
Utensils on and around the table. I've got a few other things I want to do with this as well.

I feel that a dolly would be perfect for this film, and I'm sure I could find an excuse to use it in every film I make in the future. :)

Thankyou,
