Biggest cash prize: Up to $200,000 in The GMC In-Market Video Project over on Tongal. For this project, GMC’s looking to you to create a series of demo Videos highlighting the outstanding features of five of their vehicles: Acadia, Sierra, Canyon, Sierra HD and Yukon. It’s a big deal too because while the project may get split up amongst 5 producers, GMC is open to awarding one production company with this huge opportunity. OVC’s Pick of the Week: Our favorite contest to make it’s debut this week is the 'Filmsupply Challenge’ 2016 Competition. Filmsupply and Musicbed are opening up their catalogs to see what brilliance you can create in the following categories: Ad Spec, Trailer, and Title Sequence. All entries must clock in at 60-seconds or less and feature a minimum of 5 clips and 1 music track, but the rest is up to you. Top videos in each category will be awarded with over $10,000 in filmmaking prizes, and prize packages will also be out to select entries that wow judges with their technical achievement. To get things started, they are hosting a competition seeking your uplifting and affirming video shorts. Each month of the contest highlights a new video category: Environmental for June, Personal Passion in July and Personal Triumph in August. OVC’s Pick of the Week: Our favorite contest to make it’s debut this week is the FiLMiC Pro 'Tangerine Dreams’ 2016 Video Contest. This contest was a big hit with OVCers last year, and while we don’t know the exact prize breakdown for this year’s contest yet, there will be over $25,000 worth of filmmaking awesomeness for you to get your hands on. Here’s the deal: Create a short film on your iOS or Android device using the FiLMiC Pro app. There are 5 categories to submit to, but basically anything goes so long as it’s under 5 minutes, shot at least 70% with FiLMiC Pro and includes the given FiLMiC Pro bumper. The prize pool will be split between 6 winning creators - one for each category - and a special jury prize for a film by a female filmmaker. Open to all, and due May 27th.
