Due August 15th, 2019 - Short videos record the changes in the world, vicissitudes of society and stories about people, all in a vivid and creative way. @China, a global short video contest initiated by People’s Daily, is looking for short videos made by people around the world.

They will solicit short videos from various platforms, launch a vote and invite industry experts to review the submissions. They will honor outstanding works and publicize them through various media platforms.

Foreign friends living in China also love to try food that became famous over the Internet. They are adept in calling for convenient take-out services at all times. Some foreign people like to wear Chinese traditional clothing such as hanfu or cheongsam and some like to buy goods from Taobao, China’s largest e-commerce platform. Some people like doing tai chi, dancing in public squares, playing mahjong... Please use your lenses to show the colorful and convenient life in China!

China’s high-speed railways can take you to places across the country. China’s mobile payment system is available even in Europe. China’s shared bicycles are seen in Beijing’s old hutong alleyways as well as streets in Singapore. Have you experienced these new things that symbolize China’s speed? Tell how you feel about it, and embed them in your video works!

Did you come across Chinese products, such as Chinese sportswear brand Li Ning at New York Fashion Week for 2019, Haidilao Hotpot in London, firecrackers for China’s Spring Festival in the capital of Finland, and made-in-China mobile phones in Africa? Show us the openness of China through your lens.

Majestic glaciers, the Great Wall or vast deserts. What impressive scenery have you seen throughout China? Have you ever seen Chinese herders warming up wine, or heard camel bells echoing in deserts and fishermen singing at nightfall? Of your unforgettable sights, which do you think should be shared? Please show the beauty of China through your lens.

China interacts with the world on a great scale in the academic field. Nowadays, many Chinese students are studying overseas and more and more foreign students are coming to China. Nowadays, China's internet development is rapid, and China provides entrepreneurs with a good environment and favorable policies to start their businesses. Many Chinese people are engaged in entrepreneurship, and there are also many international friends participating in the front line of entrepreneurship in China. Showcase people’s pursuit of the Chinese dream through your lenses.

When you talk about China, what comes to your mind? Bruce Lee's kung fu, Chinese Sichuan Opera face-changing, cute giant pandas or dumplings? These Chinese cultural elements or scenes seem to be very representative. Which one do you like the best? Please use your lenses to show them.
