Due June 25th, 2012 -
Energy is all around us. It powers everything from iPads to eye exams, from air conditioners to automobiles. Yet energy production, especially natural gas production, is maligned by environmentalists and the media as dirty, unsustainable, and bad for the environment.
It's time to counter this rhetoric with stories about the positive values of energy production.
We want you to submit 1-minute (or shorter) clips of what energy means to you. Videos can range from the absurd to the serious.
Since we're filmmakers, we're going to favor videos that tell a visual story over videos with "talking heads" or rants. We're looking for compelling, persuasive narratives that tell a truthful, heartfelt, and unique story. And remember that this a very positive contest. There are many places on the World Wide Web to find grainy videos of brown water in milk jugs or flaming faucets from who-knows-when-or-where. This is not the contest for those images. What we want to see are the positive benefits of energy, the positive value it gives to you.
Videos should be no longer than 60 seconds with no introduction frames or credits.
