Are clean groundwater aquifers important to you?

Steven HAuse from Tallahassee, FL

Due October 31st, 2016 - Both the Lawrence Livermore nuclear weapons lab’s Main Site and its Site 300 High Explosives Testing Facility in Tracy, CA are on the EPA’s “Superfund” list of the most contaminated sites in the country because of severely contaminated groundwater. At its current rate cleanup will take decades. What does this mean to you?
Video Objectives
Tri-Valley CAREs invites you to create a video in 2 min or less about the impacts of nuclear weapons on the environment in Livermore and beyond.
Some questions to consider:
-- How does knowing groundwater in your community is contaminated affect you?
-- Why is it important to you that the government clean up the contamination caused by nuclear weapons development around Livermore and beyond?
-- What's at stake with continued nuclear weapons development in Livermore?
-- What does it mean to be a good neighbor in Livermore or in your community?
You need not be a Livermore-area resident to submit a video to this contest. Radioactive and hazardous pollution from our nuclear weapons program affects us all, not to mention the ethical, moral and spiritual implications of developing these weapons of mass destruction. People of all locations, backgrounds and viewpoints are encouraged to submit.
