Due November 13th, 2018 - In 1974, the Academy Awards first recognized short fiction films as a worthy category. While many Audience Awards contests accept scripted shorts, they’ve never distinguished this category unto itself until now. If you’ve made a film, 30 minutes or under, which falls under the many definitions of “Live Action” - narrative film which is not documentary and not animated, adaptations of animated cartoons or comic books, use of puppets or a film in which animation and “real” actors coexists - this is the right festival for you.

They also seek short films shot in 360. If you submit a 360 video, be sure to mark that your video is 360 when you upload your film.

HOW THE WINNERS ARE DETERMINED:
From the first round, the top three audience-voted and the top three in-house jury-selected entries will move on to the finals round to be judged by an esteemed panel of industry jurors. Along with other prizes listed below, the top three final jury winners will screen at the 2018 Audience Awards Film Festival and compete there for the audience award. Winners will be announced on Nov 15th, 2017!
