Due January 13th, 2019 - Run&Shoot Filmworks and the Global Sport Institute at Arizona State University know that people have the power to change the world. Together, we invite the creative community to help shape the world in a positive way through the combination of sport and film.

Filmmakers are asked to submit a five to twelve-minute documentary concept that demonstrates the impact of Race and Sport Around the Globe. The proposed piece must show how the power of sport can ignite creativity, passion and social change. From these documentary concepts, three submissions will be selected as semifinalists and given funding to complete production. Upon completion, these three films will compete for a grand prize.

Prizes

Three Semi-Finalists:
$10,000 to support the creation of a complete documentary work.

CHOSEN FROM SEMI-FINALISTS
Grand Prize:
$5,000.00 plus travel and two-nights accommodations to the 2019 RSF Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival August 5-10, 2019.

Runner-up:
Have their documentary presented at The 2019 RSF Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival August 5-10, 2019

Eligibility
Open to professional filmmakers and students in college-level film programs.
