IMG Academy At-Home Sports Camp Editing Project
Editors, assemble a suite of educational sports training videos.
Open Bid

Due May 26th, 2020 - The elite IMG Academy is looking for FOUR editors to quickly assemble a suite of educational sports training videos featuring some of their world class coaches.

IMG Academy is the world’s largest and most advanced sports training and educational institution. Every summer they host camps where young athletes get a chance to train with some of their world-class coaches, and this year they're hosting tennis & soccer camps online, with instructional video content featuring those same coaches. The coaches have already filmed short lessons using their smartphones, and all of those clips have already been collected in either 9x16 or 16x9. IMG has also developed a template to use for the lesson videos. Now, IMG needs four editors to assemble the existing footage content into 1-4 minute lesson videos.

You can see an example of a tennis lesson video utilizing the coach's footage and the template on the main contest page. It's simple, clean, and straight-forward.

Most lesson videos will be comprised of a single video clip, and IMG will provide the on-screen text copy, so this is predominantly about assembly, background music, and incorporating a basic color grade and sound mix to freshen up the smartphone video. Actual edits will be fairly minimal, although you may need to add slide fade transitions between the instructions & the drills, and cut out any extraneous words at the start or end of takes. Also, note that most tennis clips are 9x16, while most soccer clips are 16x9. If you opt for the soccer lesson videos, you'll also need to adapt the template for the inclusion of the 16x9 video.

For the Pitch Phase, they're are asking that you assemble a single proof of concept video illustrating how you would approach this content. You can access sample footage & brand assets on the main contest page for use in your proof of concept video. They are specifically looking for how well you can follow the existing template, and elevate the UGC footage to look the best that it can be.
