Due June 24th, 2011 - The fifth annual Bridgestone Safety Scholars Video Contest has begun, and YOU could be one of this year’s $10,000 scholarship winners!

To enter, simply create a 25- or 55-second video that addresses some aspect of automobile or driving safety. Here are just a few examples:
    * Seat belt usage
    * Tire inflation
    * Avoiding distractions while driving (like cell phones and texting)
    * Driving defensively
    * Stopping for a yellow light instead of speeding through it

Prizes
Official judges will narrow it down to the top 10 videos, and then it will be up to the public to vote on their favorite.

The grand prize winner will take home a $10,000 scholarship, and second and third place each get a $5,000 scholarship! (Canadian winners will receive a $5,000 cash prize.)

The 10 top filmmakers will receive a new set of Bridgestone- or Firestone-brand tires.

Eligibility
Open to all drivers ages 16-21 in the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec). Entrants must possess a valid driver’s license and be enrolled as full-time students in an accredited secondary, college level or trade school.
