Due August 21st, 2015 - The Container Store is the only retailer solely devoted to the storage and organization category of retailing. In fact, they created the category when they opened the first store in 1978 in Dallas, Texas. Their stores are 25,000 square feet and offer more than 10,000 innovative and multifunctional solutions designed to simplify customers’ lives, save space and, ultimately, save time. TCS pairs a one-of-kind product collection with a high level of customer service delivered by happy, highly trained organization experts.
While TCS dominates the category, they say everyone and no one is their competition. Other retailers devote some aisle space to it, but no one solely focuses on it like they do or has the selection or service that they have. The brand wants to remind current and potential customers why shopping at The Container Store is unique and special and that a high-service, well-merchandised shopping experience doesn’t mean it’s expensive.
In the spirit of The Container Store brand, which is described as fun, and casually sophisticated– how would you communicate all of these differentiators that make The Container Store one-of-a-kind and a must-shop store to make customers’ live less stressed and more organized?
Mission Statement: The Container Store is a one-of-a-kind shopping experience – giving its customers the promise of an organized life through expert salespeople, innovative product solutions and convenient, time-saving services. Create a :60 – :180 second video from the customer’s perspective that communicates "The TCS Difference” and the unique shopping experience that The Container Store offers.
The Container Store has three big initiatives it’s focusing on at the moment. Consider working one or more of these into your visuals/narrative:
1. TCS Closets – The Container Store’s new line of built-in, custom closet solutions.
2. Contained Home – The Container Store’s new, in-home organization service. We bring everything customers love about The Container Store – directly to their home.
3. POP! Perfectly Organized Perks – The Container Store’s new customer frequency program. Customers who join the program and sign up to receive “perks” are called POP! Stars.
