Due March 17th, 2017 - Car crashes are the #1 killer of teens in America, and the majority are preventable. Create Real Impact motivates young people to promote innovative and effective solutions and strategies to the deadly epidemic of the reckless and distracted driving.

As a teen, how do you talk to your friends, parents, and even your siblings about the very real dangers of reckless and distracted driving? Enter the Create Real Impact Contest by sharing the dangers of reckless and distracted driving. Show how to prevent it and win prizes for your effort.

Entries are accepted in the following formats:
1. Video - 2 minutes max
2. Music - 2 minutes max
3. Creative Writing - 100 words min, 600 words max
4. Artwork - Poster or T-shirt design

With Two special categories:
1. Spanish Language
2. Sports Theme

Note: The focus of this contest are solutions to the problem of driving distractions such as texting, talking on the phone, eating, applying makeup, showing off, etc. behind the wheel. While extremely dangerous and highly illegal, drinking and driving/impaired driving is NOT the focus of this contest. Entries involving drinking and driving/impaired driving WILL NOT be accepted.

Prizes

Grand Prize Individual Awards:
Four Individual Educational Grants of $1500 will be announced, one per category (video, music, art and creative writing). Grants will be distributed to top vote getters in each category at the discretion of the judges.

School Awards:
Three $1,000 school awards will be distributed to the top three high schools with the most entries (a minimum of 25 entries, regardless of category) at the discretion of the judges. School prizes will be awarded to the school through the principal or identified school representative upon verification.

Top Vote Getter Awards:
Four Top Vote Getter Educational Grants of $500 will be awarded, one per category (video, music, art and creative writing) to the entrant with the most votes in each category.

Spanish Language Award:
One $1,500 Spanish Language Winner Educational Grant will be awarded to one Spanish-language entry in the category art or video. Spanish language entries must be accompanied by an English translation to be accepted and considered for this contest. The grant will be awarded at the sole discretion of a panel of judges.

Sports Theme Award:
One $1,500 Sports Theme Educational Grant will be awarded to one sport themed entry in the category of art or video. The grant will be awarded at the sole discretion of a panel of judges.

Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia between the ages of 14 and 22 years. Entrants must be enrolled as full-time students in an accredited educational institution (secondary [high] school, trade school, college, or university).
