Due May 22nd, 2017 - Calling all budding Don Drapers and Peggy Olsons! Tongal is looking to bolster their roster of twenty-first-century ad geniuses and decided to try something a little different than the typical Idea Phase. They're asking writers and ideators to pitch to create an Advertising Campaign for their Mystery Sponsor.

Pitch Winners will be selected by Tongal and given more background and direction on the Mystery Sponsor. Then they’ll be asked to submit an Advertising Campaign for the Sponsor, which they’ll then workshop with Tongal.

The goal of this project is to design a new advertising campaign for our Mystery Sponsor.

Pitch winners will create an Advertising Campaign consisting of the following:
    Campaign Idea: The foundation for a brand’s marketing and articulate the inspirational anchor of the brand. Check out this post for a more thorough explanation.
    Tagline: A memorable tagline that supports your Campaign Idea.
    Manifesto: Not talking about personal or political manifestos here. They're looking for Campaign Idea Manifesto – an elegant declaration of the principles of a brand’s campaign. In other words: it’s an inspiring essay that shows what a Campaign Idea is all about.
    Executional Idea: Give one example of how your Campaign Idea could be executed in video, print or social media.

Revisions Note: This project will require TWO rounds of revisions. This means Pitch Winners may need to revise any or all of the elements in their Advertising Campaign up to two times after submission.

Prizes

Pitch Awards (Submissions due 5/22/17)
The three most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $500 to help create an Advertising Campaign. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Advertising Campaign Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

Advertising Campaign (Due 5/29/17)
Once selected, Pitch Winners will be briefed on the Mystery Sponsor and asked to submit an Advertising Campaign that includes the following elements:
    Campaign Idea: The foundation for a brand’s marketing and articulate the inspirational anchor of the brand.
    Tagline: A memorable tagline that supports your Campaign Idea.
    Manifesto: An inspiring essay that shows what a Campaign Idea is all about. Should be 5 to 15 sentences.
    Executional Idea: One example of how your Campaign Idea could be executed in video, print or social media.

The winning Advertising Campaign creators will receive $2,000 each.

Eligibility
Open to US residents that are Tongal community members (it's free to register!), ages 13 and older.
