YouTube Pilot Portal
Help Tongal build their YouTube with content created by Tongalers.
Tongal finances your show

Due December 31st, 2017 - Got a perfect video for the Tongal YouTube Channel? Submit a pilot episode for a YouTube series you would like to create, and if it’s a good fit for the Tongal Channel, they’ll make an offer to either purchase the episode as a one-off or work with you to produce a series of episodes for our YouTube Channel.

This is a new type of Project that stays open throughout the year (there’s no deadline!) and lets you submit your Pilot on spec to be reviewed at any time. The reason Tongal is doing this is twofold: They are looking to build out the Tongal YouTube Channel AND they want to give their creative community even more opportunity to make awesome content.

They’ll review submissions as they are received, and if Tongal thinks your pilot is the right fit for our channel, they’ll make you an offer to purchase your content or work with you to develop your series within forty-five days after submission.

Pilot Video: A piece of video content you feel would be a good fit for The Tongal Channel.
Budget Proposal (Optional): Outline the total budget you would need to make your series happen and how many episodes you want produce.
A Note on Budget: Make sure you have the finances you need to create the best Series possible, but they are also looking to build out Tongal’s YouTube channel. Please consider the most economical way to create the content for the Series you pitch when outlining your budget.
Purchase Price (Optional): If you are creating a stand-alone piece of content, you have the option to submit your proposed purchase price with your submission.

The goal of this project is to identify Pilot submissions and purchase them as a one-off or develop them into a Series for The Tongal Channel by December 31st, 2017. When submitting your Pilot consider the following:

Your content should appeal to one or all of the following audiences: People who LOVE to watch films, commercials, or entertainment and People who LOVE to create films, commercials, and entertainment.

This can be anything from (but not limited to):
*Docu-style Series: A reality-based series that focuses on a specific real world subject, person, profession, lifestyle, etc.
  *Short Films & Features
*Monologues, critiques, or content that you want to share with people to be critiqued
*Shows: A series of related productions that do not need to be episodic (but can be)
*Topical Vlogs: A journalistic video documentation of a person’s thoughts, opinions, and interests on particular topics
*Reviews, opinions, deep dives on the history of film, podcasts, etc.

This is a Portal Project where all Pilots are submitted on spec. You can submit a piece of content to be reviewed for purchase through December 31st, 2017.

Ownership: Please note that, like all other Tongal projects, all rights to your submission will become the sole property of Tongal. However, for this project, if your submission is not purchased or an agreement can’t be reached within forty-five days, rights to your submission will revert back to you.
