Due September 24th, 2017 - Help educate teens about how to prevent fatalities while driving, and give them and your school a chance to win great prizes!

For the third year, as part of the Put the Brakes on Fatalities awareness campaign, the Kansas Turnpike Authority is holding a video contest for teens in grades 8-12. It is a fun and engaging way to raise awareness about road safety behaviors such as wearing a seat belt, or not texting while driving. It's easy to participate: encourage your students to submit a short six to 60-second video about road safety OR integrate creating a video into your lesson plans. It’s a great way to teach video production, drama, safety, video editing and more!

Video must promote fatality prevention using themes such as Distracted Driving, Seatbelts, or Texting while Driving. Video must be between six (0:06) and sixty (0:60) seconds in length. Selfie videos will not be accepted (Don't just look into the camera and talk). They want you to be creative! Entries may be used by the Kansas Turnpike Authority after the end of the contest. You can enter as many videos as you'd like, but you can only win once.
