Due October 10th, 2017 - The Mystery Sponsor wants to highlight key moments in the patient journey for both the patient and their family when going to the hospital to receive needed care. The current target patient group is new moms. The Mystery Sponsor will provide more clarity on the final target patients after the pitch winner is selected. The Mystery Sponsor wants to create three separate interview videos featuring patients and / or their families talking about their experiences leading up to, during and after their hospital stays including surprising, challenging, or delightful moments. As part of this they want to highlight the generational connectivity and shared needs from a healthcare provider, meaning the impact on the patient’s family as part of the story. Their retelling can range from how efficient the process of getting admitted was, to the service and attention the caregivers provided, to what it felt like to be discharged.

Their current focus for the video is on new moms but this may change. The Mystery Sponsor will provide guidance on this after the pitch winner is selected. The Mystery Sponsor wants to highlight the generational component of the patient journey – meaning the role of parents and children in the patient’s experience. The Mystery Sponsor is open to casting actors / actresses, but ultimately the video needs to feel authentic. Each patient interview should be approximately 40-45 seconds. These will ultimately need to be combined into a single video that weaves in the interviews together to create a cohesive story and connections between the patients. You’ll need to interview the three new patients at three distinct looking locations. Some light graphics work will be required. The Mystery Sponsor will provide talking points for the patients to create their own dialogue/answers from. The producer will need to work with the actors to create an authentic sounding story and patient experience based on the talking points.

Create a 120 – 135 second Video featuring interviews with three patients talking about their journey and overall experience during their hospital patient journey (before, during, after).

NOTE: The patients featured can be actors, but ultimately the video will need to feel authentic and real. The Mystery Sponsor will specify desired casting demographics to the Pitch winner, but please feel free to suggest casting options as part of your Pitch if you already have someone in mind.

In your Pitch, you should highlight your approach to the interviews and how you’ll accomplish a video that feels authentic and real.

The interviews should….
Mention critical moments in the patient journey which starts with awareness of the health system and the need for staying healthy, and extends through receiving care, treatments, follow-ups, and sharing the experience with others.
Mention health care system features, offerings, technologies, policies, etc. that make a difference for patients (or those that are missing).
Highlight “moments that matter” – non-obvious interactions that make the difference between “ok” and “excellent” health outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Prizes

Pitch Awards (Due 10/10/17)
The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $5,500 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $5,500.

Pre-Production (Due 10/19/17)
The Pitch Winner from the Pitch Phase will enter the Pre-Production Phase. During this phase, filmmakers will need to receive approvals from the brand.

Video Awards (Due 10/24/17)
Once the Pre-Production Phase is complete, the Pitch Winner will create a 120 - 135-second Video based upon their winning Pitch. Winners of the Video Phase will earn $5,500 upon completing the video and revisions.

Revisions (Due 10/30/17)
Once the Video Phase has closed, the winning submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. During this phase, filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback. Once the Videos are finalized, the Sponsor will rank the Videos and winners will be announced.
