Take Me Outside’s 2026 contest asks Canadian students to tell a creative story about their local outdoor environment. Individuals can enter in grade divisions, and teachers may submit a class project.

• Deadline: October 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
• Eligibility: Canadian students in kindergarten through grade 12, individually or as a K–12 class project.
• Entry fee: Free.
• Grand prize: A three-day trip for two to Banff National Park in November 2026.
• Category prizes: $300 toward outdoor gear for first place and $200 for runners-up.

The winning short film is also expected to appear at the Banff Mountain Film Festival Marketplace and on social media. Review the category-specific production rules and obtain consent for everyone appearing in the video.
