This page explains how OnlineVideoContests.com handles information, advertising and affiliate relationships, paid listings, analytics, copyright concerns, and editorial decisions.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1. Who we are

OnlineVideoContests.com ("OVC," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent discovery and editorial website for video contests, filmmaking competitions, creator challenges, and related resources. We summarize opportunities and link readers to the organizer's official website. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, OVC is not the contest organizer.

2. Information we collect

We may receive information that you voluntarily provide through newsletter signup, contest-submission, sponsorship, contact, or purchase forms. Depending on the form, that information may include your name, email address, company, contest details, website URL, and message.

Our website and service providers may also collect routine technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location, and interaction data. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to keep the site working, understand traffic, remember preferences, prevent abuse, and measure performance.

3. Email alerts and consent

If you choose to join the OVC Weekly Contest Alert, we use the name and email address you provide to send newly verified contests, approaching deadlines, and related creator resources. Subscription is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter or by contacting us. We do not require SMS consent for the weekly email alert.

4. Analytics and cookies

OVC uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the website. Google may process device, browser, network, and interaction information according to its own policies. You can control cookies through your browser and may use Google's browser add-on or other privacy controls to limit analytics collection.

Blocking cookies may affect forms, checkout functions, embedded media, or other site features. We do not use a browser's “Do Not Track” signal as a universal opt-out because there is no single industry standard for that signal.

5. How we use information

  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.
  • Deliver requested contest alerts and manage subscriber preferences.
  • Review contest submissions and communicate with organizers or sponsors.
  • Process and support premium listings or other purchases through our payment providers.
  • Respond to questions, privacy requests, copyright complaints, and support needs.
  • Measure traffic and content performance.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of law or our policies.

6. When information may be shared

We may share information with vendors that help us host the site, operate forms, manage contacts and email subscriptions, analyze traffic, send communications, prevent fraud, or process payments. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Certain analytics or advertising technologies may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under some privacy laws even when no money changes hands. You may contact us to ask about available access, deletion, correction, or opt-out rights.

7. Payments

Payments for premium listings or other services are processed by third-party payment providers. OVC does not need to store complete payment-card numbers in order to complete a transaction. Payment providers may collect billing, device, identity, and transaction information under their own privacy policies.

8. Affiliate disclosure

Some resource articles contain affiliate links. OVC may earn a commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase through one of those links, at no additional cost to the reader. As an Amazon Associate, OVC may earn from qualifying purchases.

Affiliate relationships do not guarantee a positive review or placement. Product recommendations should be treated as editorial information, not a promise that a product will suit every person, device, or workflow.

9. Premium listings and sponsorships

Paid or sponsored placements are labeled. Payment may affect visibility or position for the stated promotional period, but it does not override OVC's eligibility, accuracy, rights, safety, or relevance standards. OVC may decline, correct, unpin, or remove a paid submission that is misleading, unlawful, expired, unsafe, or outside the site's scope.

10. Editorial accuracy and third-party contests

OVC writes original summaries based on organizer-controlled pages and official rules when available. Deadlines, prizes, eligibility, fees, and terms can change after publication. Readers must confirm the current official rules before entering, paying a fee, creating content, or granting rights.

Links to outside websites do not mean OVC controls or endorses those websites. External sites have their own privacy practices, security, accessibility, terms, and content.

11. Copyright and media

OVC uses organizer-provided promotional media, properly licensed material, embedded content, or other media believed appropriate for reporting and identification. Contest organizers and rights holders retain their respective rights.

If you believe material on OVC infringes your copyright, email us with your name and contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, the exact OVC URL, the location of the disputed material, a statement explaining your good-faith belief, and confirmation that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act. We will review complete notices and take appropriate action. Do not send knowingly false claims.

12. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including operational, contractual, accounting, dispute-resolution, security, and legal needs. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Children and student contests

OVC lists some contests intended for students or minors, but the website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent, guardian, teacher, or eligible adult should supervise a minor's use of organizer websites, forms, and contest rules. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to OVC, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

14. Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how personal information is handled. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.

To make a privacy request, email ab@brambilamedia.com. Please use the subject line “OVC Privacy Request” and describe the request clearly.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this page as the website, vendors, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the latest revision.

Privacy, compliance, and copyright questions may be sent to ab@brambilamedia.com. Sponsorship and business inquiries may also be sent to sydney@brambilamedia.com.
