The We Are Human Festival invites filmmakers to treat artificial intelligence as a creative instrument while being transparent about how it shaped the work. The competition emphasizes artistic intent, technical execution, and responsible practice rather than novelty alone. Entrants retain ownership while granting the organizer a limited, non-exclusive license for festival screenings and promotion.

Contest details

• Deadline: September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CEST.
• Who can enter: Creators age 18 or older worldwide; up to two entries per person or team.
• Entry fee: Free.
• Prize: €5,000 for first place, €3,000 for second, and €2,000 for third.
• Video format: A 1–10 minute audiovisual work completed after June 1, 2025, with AI used meaningfully in the concept, production, or form. An Ethics Notebook describing the tools and creative decisions is required.
